A family of compact acoustics by SVEN has been expanded with a new device that deserves to be titled as the brightest and most original among its peers. The first thing that catches your eye in PS-55 is a roundish casing with a polygonal side surface going over a dynamic multi-color backlight. Designers of the Finnish company made a rather brave experiment and developed a device with an extraordinary look that will undoubtedly delight its owners and attract admiring glances of people around. Dimensions of the casing are extremely small — it is a round "barrel" with 72 mm diameter and 108 mm height. It is also very lightweight — just 230 g, so it can be easily carried around wherever you go.

The sound is delivered by a driver 45 mm in diameter producing sound in a broad range, especially for such compact acoustics — from 120 Hz to 20 kHz. A battery 3.7V, 600mAh (2.22Wh) in capacity provides several hours of fully automated operation with the backlight on. Due to 5 W output power, the PS-55 will be great both for listening to your favorite tracks at home and for creation a romantic vibe for an outdoors date. If this is not enough, its wireless connection allows a single source to switch on two speakers.

The sound from a source gadget is transmitted via Bluetooth, but in order to ensure a stable connection and save the battery charge, you can use a wired connection. Plus, the portable speaker can work in fully standalone mode. It is fitted with an embedded player that can playback sound files from USB media and microSD. And if you want to listen to fresh music hits and tune in to news and entertainment shows, switch on an embedded radio receiver.
